Post-War to Present

Christie’s is proud to present the Post-War to Present auction on 29 September, offering a retrospective of top-quality works from today’s leading artistic voices and celebrated figures of the Post-War period.  Bridging the creations of Alice Neel, Romare Bearden, Josef Albers and Stanley Whitney, this season is rich with exemplars by genre-shaping artists who have redefined representation and the relationship between form and color. With seminal works by Sam Gilliam, Helen Frankenthaler and Julie Mehretu, the Post-War to Present sale captures expressive high points throughout the lineage of Post-War and Contemporary Art, extending ample opportunities for every type of collector.
