Modern British & Irish Art Evening Sale

As part of our landmark 20/21st Century Art auction series, Christie’s is delighted to hold our biannual Modern British and Irish Art Evening Sale on October 19th, which will present an exciting and diverse array of works by leading 20th Century British artists. The sale will be headlined by L.S. Lowry’s masterpiece, Going to the Match, and will feature key artists from the period, including the dynamic sculpture of both Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore, and paintings by Ben Nicholson, Frank Auerbach, and William Scott.

Building on the success of our March auction, achieving £25.5 million and highlighting the strength of the British art market, the sale will showcase the richness and diversity of British art throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.
