The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection: Volume 4 | Chinese Works of Art, English and European Furniture and Decorative Arts, Day Sale

On 23 October, Christie’s will present Volume 4 of The Ann and Gordon Getty Collection, the fourth in a series of landmark auctions of the Getty’s storied San Francisco interior sold to benefit the Ann and Gordon Getty Foundation for the Arts, dedicated to the support of arts and science organisations.

Through dedication and a sharp eye, Mrs. Getty created complexly layered and beautifully refined interiors. Whereas Volume 3 of the October sales focuses on the downstairs of the famed Pacific Heights house, Volume 4 showcases the contents of the more intimate spaces of the principal suite, the library and the upstairs bedrooms, including the inimitable Turkish Bedroom. Highlights include English and European Furniture, maps and important Chinese Works of Art.
