For the inaugural auction under the new department at Christie’s — Sneakers, Streetwear and Collectibles — we are proud to present The Greats, a curated collection of some of the greatest examples of sneakers, streetwear and collectibles from contemporary culture.

From sneakers designed for, worn, and signed by some of the great athletes of our time, Serena Williams and Michael Jordan, created by some of the great design icons of our time, Virgil Abloh and Tinker Hatfield, to streetwear representative of the great brands that defined the movement, Supreme, to collectibles, across a varying degree of genres — art, design and sports history, that defined movements and a new wave of contemporary collecting, this sale is a taste of what is to come, as we embark on the journey of the Sneakers, Streetwear and Collectibles department here at Christie’s.
