Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale
Sale Overview
Christie’s New York is proud to present the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale this November, featuring work that ranges from the iconic masters of post-war art to the thrilling and innovative makers of the present day. This season’s sale brings together important artists representing the last 75 years of art and culture — including prime examples of Pop art by Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring — and traces the history of abstraction from Hans Hofmann to Gerhard Richter. Outstanding works by Toyin Ojih Odutola, Vaughn Spann, Lauren Quin and Louis Fratino are among the contemporary highlights that exemplify the new wave of today’s artist’s voices. Highlights also include works from the prominent collections of Ivan and Genevieve Reitman, Jerry Moss, Ruth Miles Pite, Gerald Fineberg and Professor Laurent Jacob.
