Tiffany

This December, Christie’s proudly presents Tiffany, a sale celebrating Louis Comfort Tiffany and the firm that innovated the art of glassmaking in America. The auction focuses on work for early window commissions both residential and commercial, including Tiffany’s important ‘Grapevine and Trellis’ arched window and the radiant ‘Landscape with Magnolias and Irises’ window. 

Other highlights include extraordinary lighting designs by Tiffany Studios, including the rare 'Dragonfly' table lamp on a blown glass base, and the iconic ‘Wisteria’ lamp on a tree-form base, which demonstrates the intricate and expert craftmanship of the Studios. Celebrated patterns such as the ‘Poppy’, ‘Nasturtium’ and ‘Tulip’ will dazzle in vibrant colours and complex glass. Favrile glass vases, enamel work and patinated bronze ‘fancy goods’ round out the offering.
