On May 23^rd, Christie's will offer some 250 lots highlighting remarkable and emblematic pieces from several important designers.

Particular emphasis will be placed on female designers such as Maria Pergay, with her personal collection unveiled, but also Line Vautrin, up to contemporary designers like Ingrid Donat and Claude Lalanne. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the death of Charlotte Perriand, the sale will also present a special Living with Charlotte Perriand section, bringing together iconic pieces by the artist, in particular a set of works designed for the Borot family, as well as works by artists to whom she was close, such as Isamu Noguchi, Serge Mouille and Jean Prouvé.

Among the other highlights of the sale, a selection of rare works by André Arbus from the 40s to the 60s, coming from a family close to the artist, will be highlighted as well as an original commission from Mattia Bonetti and Elizabeth Garouste. Also offered for auction will be a remarkable set of lacquered pieces created by Jean Dunand or Eileen Gray as well as exceptional Art Deco and modernist works such as a chest of drawers by Marcel Coard and a coffee table by Robert Mallet-Stevens from the Villa Cavrois.

Le 23 mai prochain, Christie’s proposera quelque 250 lots mettant en lumière des pièces remarquables et emblématiques de plusieurs grands noms du design.

Un accent particulier sera mis sur les femmes designers à l’image de Maria Pergay, pour laquelle sera dévoilée sa collection personnelle, mais également l’incontournable Line Vautrin, jusqu’aux créatrices contemporaines à l’instar d’Ingrid Donat et Claude Lalanne. À l'occasion du 25e anniversaire de la disparition de Charlotte Perriand, la vente présentera également une section spéciale intitulée Living with Charlotte Perriand, réunissant des pièces iconiques de l’artiste, en particulier un ensemble d’œuvres dessinées pour la famille Borot, ainsi que des pièces de créateurs dont elle était proche, tels Isamu Noguchi, Serge Mouille et Jean Prouvé.

Parmi les autres temps forts de la vente, une sélection d'œuvres rares d'André Arbus des années 40 à 60, provenant d'une famille proche de l'artiste, sera mise en avant, ainsi qu’une commande d’origine de Mattia Bonetti et Elizabeth Garouste. Seront également mises à l’encan un remarquable ensemble de pièces en laque réalisées par Jean Dunand et Eileen Gray ou encore d’exceptionnelles réalisations Art Déco et modernistes telles qu’une commode de Marcel Coard ainsi qu’une table basse de Robert Mallet-Stevens provenant de la Villa Cavrois.
