Fine and Rare Wines Online: Featuring Exceptional Madeira Collections

Sale Overview

Christie’s Wine Department in America is delighted to present our second sale of 2024: Fine and Rare Wines Online: Featuring Exceptional Madeira Collections.  Including wines spanning four centuries, this fabulous auction offers rarities and collectibles for any discerning wine lover. The sale features wines from The Collection of Jerry Moss (music industry icon and founder of A&M Records) alongside a number of outstanding private collections including An Exceptional Bordeaux Collection with multiple cases of the first growths – Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Mouton Rothschild and Château Latour from the 1982 vintage, widely considered one of the greatest vintages of the twentieth century.

Classic Burgundy is featured from Domaine de la Romanée Conti and Domaine Leroy. The sale also includes rare wine from Italy and California with multiple vintages of the cult California collectible Screaming Eagle on offer. The sale concludes with an exceptional presentation of rare Madeira, truly one of the world’s great collectibles. Vintages from 1715 to 1958 are offered including rare bottles of Terrantez 1715, 1760 and 1795 plus multiple vintages from the nineteenth century.  Many lots either come direct from producers or collectors from the island of Madeira – this is one our largest ever offerings of Madeira with fantastic selections on offer.

All lots in this auction can be collected in person from Christie’s Los Angeles, Wine Storage Facility or shipped to an address in California. You can arrange an authorised shipper or agent to collect your purchase on your behalf.
