Sale Overview

The Post-War and Contemporary Art sales on 4 and 5 November in Amsterdam will offer works from the leading European and International artists, spanning 1945 to the present day. This includes significant pieces by members of the CoBrA group – such as Asger Jorn, Karel Appel and Pierre Alechinsky – and the Zero group, represented by Otto Piene and Jan Schoonhoven, whose Relief R72-47 is the largest work by the artist to ever come to auction. The sales feature works from a number of distinguished private collections in Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy and the United States, highlighted by the Estate of Maximilian Schell which will be offered in our 4 November evening sale.
