Old Master Prints

Sale Overview

The Old Master Prints sale offers an impressive selection of works commencing with the 15th century Italian Master Andrea Mantegna and culminating with a rare early 19th century lithograph by William Blake of which only 4 impressions exist.  Iconic images by Durer including Adam and Eve and Saint Eustace are among the highlights along with numerous prints by Rembrandt depicting his religious and Netherlandish scenes including a superb impression of Landscape with Three Gabled Cottages beside a Road. A rare collection of landscape scenes by Augustin Hirschvogel represent some of the earliest examples of the genre in printed form, and will include several examples not to have been seen at auction in 25 years. We are also pleased to be offering a selection of Old Master prints in our South Kensington sale on 5th December with viewing from the 1st December.
