Our British & European Art online auction features a curated range of works form the heart of Europe from the 19th Century. The auction encompasses a range of movements from Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite, Orientalist, 19th Century European & British Impressionist Art at opportune price points. A variety of mediums – from sculpture to paintings via works-on-paper – show a tremendous variety of creative output which resonates today. Highlights include a superb collection of captivating Dutch townscapes, belle-epoque scenes and iconic topographical views. A celebration of summer and escapism is elemental in George Clausen’s A Midsummer day and a Peder Severin Krøyer sketch for his masterpiece Midsummer Eve Bonfire on Skagen Beach. The celebration of summer continues with works by Paul Fischer, Rowland Wheelwright, Albert Edelfelt, Cornelis Springer, Harold Harvey and many more.
