Can't Wait 'til the Night Comes: A Masterpiece by Yoshitomo Nara, 20th Century and Contemporary Art Evening Sale

This Autumn, Christie’s is proud to present Yoshitomo Nara’s, Can’t Wait ‘til the Night Comes as a focal point of this season’s Hong Kong sales, and an important masterpiece of Contemporary art. The work will be offered in a stand-alone, single lot auction, directly following the 23 November Evening Sale of 20th Century & Contemporary Art. This marks an unprecedented sale strategy in Hong Kong, which highlights the painting’s tremendous importance within both the artist’s oeuvre and the offerings at auction this season. Can’t Wait ‘til the Night Comes has been specifically requested by the artist to be featured as a major highlight of his upcoming survey exhibition which will debut at the LACMA, Los Angeles and will then travel to the YUZ Museum in Shanghai, Guggenheim Bilbao, and the Kunsthal Rotterdam.
