Exceptional works on paper from the Triton Collection Foundation

Sale Overview

One of the world’s most important private collections of 19th and 20th century avant-garde works, the Triton Foundation Collection is renowned for its numerous loans to public institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid. Comprising drawings by Picasso, Léger, Picabia, Severini, Redon and Dalí, this selection is one of the most comprehensive groups of avant-garde works on paper to be offered at auction in recent years. Highlights include La Modiste, an important Futurist drawing by Severini, an early Blue Period illustration by Picasso, and Léger's Danseuse au tambourin which featured in his masterpiece La grande parade, the artist's last mural painting.
