Meticulously put together for art collectors and enthusiasts, the auctions will feature global collections and timeless masterpieces by artists ranging from modern masters and contemporary ink talents.

The selection of works offered in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings sale represent the best of the category Leading the sale is Living in the Mountains by Zhang Daqian, as well as a series of exquisite works by Lin Fengmian and Wu Guanzhong, the two masters who created a unique ink painting style by fusing Chinese and Western art forms and techniques. Other artworks with rich provenance include Zhongkuiby Qi Baishi which was formerly from the collection of Feng Wen Tang; Boating on Mountain Lake by Zhang Daqian which were formerly part of the Belgian collection “Dongxi Studio”; Splashed-colour Lotus by Zhang Daqian from a distinguished private Asian collector, and Panel Screens of Flowers and Calligraphy by Wu Changshuo and Kusakabe Meikaku from a Japanese Private Collection. Li Huayi and Liu Kuo Sung, the giants of contemporary ink, will lead the section of the sale along with Hong Kong new ink pioneers in the 1970s Lu Shou Kwan and Fang Zhaolin.
