Sale Overview

Christie’s Wine Department is delighted to present their first auction of the spring season in London. A captivating catalogue brim full of the best Burgundies is heading under our gavel-masters hammer on 23 April. A single-owner collection focusing on the wines of Armand Rousseau, Grivot, Confuron and Roumier leads the sale. A major single-owner consignment is one to get international collectors excited. Sublime vintages of Romanée-Conti and La Tâche from the inimitable Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Grand-Cru wines from Leroy, Comte Georges de Vogüé and Dujac will cause enthusiasm in the saleroom. This sensational sale is the largest collection of wines from Armand Rousseau ever offered at Christie’s and rich and ripe vintages such as 2005 and 2009 will be sure to spark spirited bidding. Classic offerings of Bordeaux also feature, Château Mouton-Rothschild 1982, Château Latour 1961 and classed growths from the stunning 2009 vintage. Rare Italian icons from Bruno Giacosa and Conterno are illustrated in the catalogue and are followed by an array of unique bottles of Unico, wonderful whiskies and charming vintage cognacs.
