Living up to its namesake – First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online – is proud to signal the beginning of the 20th/21st Century Week October 2023 at Christie’s. The sale will feature exciting Contemporary names - Faye Wei Wei, Ann Craven,  Chantal Joffe, Sahara Longe, Tomo Campbell, Caroline Walker -  alongside works by well-established artists such as Damien Hirst, Chris Ofili, Georg Baselitz, Celia Paul, Sol LeWitt and Antony Gormley. Also presenting a wonderful selection of works by contemporary African artists such as Jack Kabangu, Dankyi Mensah, Ishmael Armarh, and Esther Mahlangu. 

This season First Open will be collaborating with the Museum of Modern West-African Art in the sale of works for the MOWAA Rainforest Gallery and Nigeria Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2024, including offering an NFT by Osinachi, a first for the platform.
