Old Master Paintings and Sculpture Online

Christie’s Old Master Paintings and Sculpture Online this January will feature works spanning five centuries of European artistic production. Highlights of the sale include a tromp l’oiel of hunting and birding gear by Antonius Leemans, striking interior scenes by Pieter Neefs and Dirck van Delen, portraits by George Romney, and a fascinating shaped painting of the Crucifixion attributed to Orazio Borgianni. The sale also includes a selection of maiolica, recently restituted to the heirs of Fritz Gutmann, banker and avid collector of Renaissance art.
