This sale of around 60 lots will be led by this masterpiece signed by Gustave Moreau, Le Char d’Apollon. Among the selection of 18th- and 19th-century paintings are a landscape depicting Philoctète in Lemnos by Pierre Henri de Valenciennes and a very rare Palette by Jacques-Louis David from an important European collection. This Madonna and Child by Niccolò Di Pietro Gerini – a masterpiece from the Florentine pre-Renaissance – will also be presented.
