Rectangular, enameled in translucent turquoise over a wavy guilloché ground, centering a conforming aperture enclosing a later photograph of Emperor Nicholas II, applied with a ribbon-tied berried laurel garland suspended from a tied-ribbon crest, the lower corners applied with rosettes, with gold scroll strut and ivory backing, marked on edge of frame and strut
