Lot Essay

The Imperial visit of September 1901 saw the arrival of Nicholas II and Alexandra aboard the Imperial Yacht Standart at Dunkirk, where they were met by President Loubet aboard the Presidential yacht, Cassini, to review the French Fleet. The visit proceeded to Paris and also included a number of reviews of troop manoeuvres. The images included in this lot include formal and informal views from the visit.
