Cyrillic maker's mark 'Ya R', possibly for Yakov Rosen, St. Petersburg, 1908-1917
Rectangular with rounded corners, engine-turned overall, the hinged cover applied with a diamond-set Imperial double-headed eagle, between two leaf-chased bands, with cabochon sapphire thumb-piece, marked inside cover and base, also with French import mark
