Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1952 and its subsequent sale on March 27, 1963. Further accompanied by a black suede Patek Philippe pouch.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never before been offered in public.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 2500 from 1951 until approximately 1953. The watch was manufactured in two series, the first like the present watch with the caliber 10 200 and the second series bearing the caliber 12 400. Only three known 2500 in yellow gold have come to market.
