'[Dans Cité ouvrière], les carreaux s'arrondissent, comme érodés. Ici, dans des rythmes horizontaux et verticaux marqués par des droites, le module répété sur toute la surface ressemble plus à des galets naturels qu'à des briques ou des pavés manufacturés. L'effet est de détente. La définition spatiale n'en subit pas de modification notoire: la profondeur est affaire de couleur et de lumière.'
