Lot Essay

Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with enamel dial, luminous radium hour markers and hands, and rose gold bracelet in 1958 and its subsequent sale on January 30th of the following year.

The present watch is a fine example of a reference 2526 in pink gold, with rare luminous hour markers and hands. The majority of reference 2526 watches were cased in yellow gold, with only an estimated 360 cased in pink gold. Special dials, such as those with Breguet numerals, a retailer's signature, or with luminous material, are extremely rare and sought after by collectors.

The present watch is one of seven known reference 2526's in pink gold with an enamel dial and luminous hour markers and hands.

To the best of our knowledge this watch has never before been offered in public.
