Lot Essay

Founded in Switzerland in 1918 by Georges Schaeren, Mido is today based in the city of Le Locle which is the heart of Swiss watch making. The name Mido comes from the Spanish Yo mido, meaning "I measure" and the present chronograph is a perfect example of this meaning.
