Lot Essay

With Officine Panerai Certificate, International Guarantee Certificate, instruction manual, fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

Developed for the Italian Navy before the Second World War, the Panerai Radiomir has captivated many collectors for its durable and unique water-resistant case and easily readable dial. Over the years, Radiomir timepieces has benefited from many technological developments while keeping its strong identity. The present lot PAM00522, together with PAM00521, was launched during the 2013 SIHH in Geneva as a special edition that was inspired by rare examples of the Radiomir that was dated back to the 1930s. Many similarities can be found between these two watches. The early edition of Radiomir includes a dodecagonal-shaped bezel, plexi crystals, an original spherical winding crown, and much more. Together, all these original details endow the watch with a greater vintage appeal.

The present watch is numbered 27 of a special edition of 100 examples only and in like new condition.
