A LARGE AMBER-GROUND CUT-VELVET CARPET
LATE QING DYNASTY
The carpet is cut in the center with a central lotus blossom within a leaf-form quatrefoil panel, all on a ground of blossoming lotus meander within an archaistic dragon border and outer borders of archaistic scroll and dragons writhing amidst vines, all in vibrant shades of amber, pale purple, and pink on the amber ground.
