A DIAMOND FEATHER BROOCH

Details
A DIAMOND FEATHER BROOCH
Designed as a stylized circular-cut diamond feather brooch with a baguette-cut diamond stem, 3 3/4 ins., mounted in platinum
Further Details
Although unsigned, the design and workmanship are consistent with the work of Paul Flato.
The feather was a favorite subject of Flato’s, using the motif to create jewels for clients such as Mrs. Jack Warner and Paulette Goddard. Several examples of known Flato jewelry feature the curling and overlapping edges similar to those seen in Lot 25, giving what could be an otherwise static jewel a sense of movement and lightness.
Sale Room Notice
For Lot 25, the diamond weight is approximately 12.00-15.00 carats total
