Although unsigned, the design and workmanship are consistent with the work of Paul Flato.
By the late 1930s, Flato had turned to the use of yellow gold in his jewelry as a prominent and preferred design element. Similar bangle bracelets to Lot 26, featuring ridged detailing and diamond-set elements centering on large semi-precious stones, were used in various films including the 1942 film The Lady is Willing, starring Marlene Dietrich.
