Baigneuse aux oies: Two Impressions
two etchings with drypoint and aquatint, 1895, including: Baigneuse aux oies, on laid paper, without watermark, titled and inscribed in pencil 6e Etat – no 2, a fine richly tonal impression of Delteil's tenth state (of sixteen), one of only two impressions of this proof state (Delteil records only one or two impressions of the previous states, respectively, four lifetime impressions of the final state, and a posthumous edition of 31), printing with considerable burr, presumably the full sheet, with uneven margins, a deckle edge above and at left, in good condition; and Baigneuse aux oies, on laid paper, watermark J Honig & Zoonen, with the artist's monogram stamp (Lugt 613e), numbered 8/31, a very good impression of Delteil's 16th, final state, from the posthumous edition printed in 1923, with irregularly trimmed margins and ink lines in the margins (presumably as issued), generally in good condition
