Heir of All Things

Parsons' sculptures brilliantly satirise the romanticised world portrayed in traditional figurines. She strips them of all colour and in so doing sterilises their bright façades, taking away their superficial charm. Her pure white figures starkly contrast the rich red pigment of the blood splattered across them. Parsons re-configures her subjects into darkly humorous depictions of the 'real world'.
