Lot Essay

With Omega Extract of Records confirming manufacture of the present watch with silvered dial, luminous hour markers and luminous hands (radium) and its sale to their official agent in Switzerland on 8 October 1953.

The present chronograph wristwatch is a very attractive example of one of Omega's post war military wristwatches, standing out by the very good original condition, the full case and the extremely attractive silvered dial with luminous numerals and hands, confirmed by the Extract from the Registers.

Other examples of Omega's reference 2077 chronograph watches are described and illustrated in Omega - A Journey Through Time by Marco Richon, p. 534, including a comparable example, pl. 8173.
