Lot Essay

Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 2003 and its subsequent sale on October 13th of the same year. Further accompanied by a Patek Philippe presentation box and Patek Philippe pouch.

The Reference 3710/1 is the first 'Jumbo' Nautilus produced since the legendary reference 3700 which was first produced in 1976. When it launched, the Nautilus model was advertised as the most expensive steel watch on the market. The main differences between reference 3700 and reference 3710/1 are the sweep seconds as well as the up-down indicator. The reference 3710/1 was discontinued in 2006.

To the best of our knowledge this watch has never before been offered in public.
