二十及二十一世纪艺术：伦敦晚间拍卖

Christie’s London will host its 20^th/21^st Century Evening Sale on 13 October 2023, led by Jean-Michel Basquiat’s 1982 masterpiece Future Sciences Versus the Man. An outstanding work from his celebrated series of ‘stretcher’ paintings, it is an electrifying history painting that captures the dreams and downfalls of humankind.

Showcasing outstanding works from the 20^th and 21^st centuries, the sale features Paula Rego’s Dancing Ostriches from Walt Disney’s ‘Fantasia’ (1995), which stands among her most virtuosic, theatrical and ambitious works. 

The sale includes works sold for the MOWAA (Museum of West African Art) Rainforest Gallery and Nigeria Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2024, with works generously donated by Tunji Adeniyi-Jones and Yinka Shonibare.
