Christie’s Amsterdam is launching a new sale this December: the Modern Art sale. This exciting new sale focuses on paintings, works on paper and sculptures from the crucial and innovative period of 1900 to 1940 in Northern Europe.  

This sale includes Dutch, Belgian and German masters of Abstraction, Expressionism and Realism. It showcases De Stijl artists such as Bart van der Leck and Georges Vantongerloo,  together with important paintings by Gustave De Smet from the collection of Tony Herbert,  absolute highlights in Dutch modern art by Leo Gestel and Jan Sluijters, paintings by Kees van Dongen and a beautiful sculpture by Ossip Zadkine.
