As part of our 20th/21st Century auction series Christie’s is delighted to hold our biannual Modern British and Irish Art Evening Sale on 21 March 2023, presenting an exciting and diverse array of works by leading 20th and 21st Century British and Irish artists.

The sale will be highlighted by exceptional paintings by L.S. Lowry, William Scott and Frank Bowling and dynamic sculptures by Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore and Barry Flanagan. The sale also features a stunning group of works by David Hockney and an extremely rare Pop painting by Pauline Boty.

Building on the success of our record-breaking year in 2022, which achieved auction sales of £62.8 million, and highlighting the strength of the market, the sale will showcase the richness and diversity of British and Irish art throughout the 20th Century, up to the present day.
