Accompanied by Patek Philippe Certificate or Origin dated November 2001, plain 18K white gold screw back number 4'131'103, 18K white gold and wooden setting pin, original fitted wooden presentation box and outer packaging. Furthermore delivered with the Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1999 and its subsequent sale on 28 June 2001.

Purchased by the present owner in 2001, it has never been offered in public before. Completely overhauled at Patek Philippe's workshops in Geneva in 2007 (the original bill amounting to Euro 2,302 will be delivered with the watch), this watch is in excellent overall condition, still retaining the protective sticker to the back.

The celebrated reference 3970 was in production from 1986 until 2004. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 305.
