soft-ground etching and aquatint plus soft-ground transfer pencil drawing, circa 1881, on wove paper and thin wove paper respectively, the print Beeskin's second (final) state, a fine impression, both signed in pencil, with irregular margins and the full sheet respectively, (print) with a foxmark at the center of the image, the paper split in places along the platemark, surface soiling (particularly in the margins), soiling, stray printing ink and hinge remains on the reverse, (drawing) with offset soft-ground transfer on the reverse, soiling (particularly at the margin edges), a few spots of oil staining and soft-ground smudges, five repaired holes along the figures' arms, creasing in the corners, R. Hartshorne's inkstamp at the reverse of the lower right image corner (slightly showing through), otherwise both in good condition
