With IWC original fitted presentation box and photocopy of the technical sheet of ref. 5215.

According to the Archives of IWC, the present watch was sold to a retailer in Milan in 1987.

Reference 5215 is from the "Ingenieur" series (see previous lot) and is the first and to date only anti-magnetic (40,000 A/m) and water-resistant (30 meters) pocket watch ever made. The model was available with four different dial versions, amongst those the textured variant as on the present watch, called "Millimeterpapier" or "graph paper" amongst collectors.

In production from 1983 until 1996 and made in exceedingly small series only, reference 5215 has become a much sought-after collectors' items in today's market.
