With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with white dial and white gold indexes in 1987 and its subsequent sale on 31 May 1989. It has never been offered at auction before and is one of less than 10 examples of reference 3930 in stainless steel to appear in public to date.
Reference 3930 was in production from 1976 until the late 1980s. Although published in Patek Philippe's sales catalogues, it appears that the models cased in stainless steel were borrowed to clients during the servicing of their watches. Some were also given as reward to deserving employees.
