The following two lots, 110 and 111, are both fitted with additional glazed case backs beautifully revealing the state of the art mechanics. Glazed backs were generally not used until the early 1980s and consequently not available for these two watches at the time of production. However it was not uncommon for collectors to request, either at Patek Philippe or a watchmaker or jeweller of their choice, a glazed back made to measure for their cherished timepiece. Even though unclear at which stage and by whom the present glazed backs were made, they stand out by their exceptional quality and nice fit and are great added value for its owner, especially since the original solid backs are still present.
