These watches were intended for a young and avant-garde female clientele and were characterized by their asymmetrical shapes, large bracelets and the use of precious stones. These watches confirm Piaget's creativity and original and earning it the coveted title of "the jeweller of watch making". Piaget Founded in 1874 by Georges Piaget in La Côte-aux-Fées, Switzerland, the company opened its first showroom at 40, rue du Rhône, Geneva, in 1959. Piaget rapidly became the specialist for the world's thinnest watches and the unique style of cases and bracelets in 18K gold or platinum, the only case materials the firm allows to enter its workshops.
