'Yeux de verre, perles de bimbeloterie de forme conique, ronde ou cylindrique, coquillages, morceaux de bois sec, pièces de monnaie, plumes d'oiseaux, cordages, baguettes de bois, découpages de photos, menottes de policier, cadenas, etc. Tel est l'inventaire abracadabrant de ce peintre. [...] Il crée une féerie visuelle à partir d'un patient assemblage d'objets, lesquels, dès lors qu'ils sont organisés dans l'espace du tableau et intégrés à la couleur, perdent leur signification première pour devenir ce que l'on appelle des "signes plastiques"'.
