From Napoleon’s library on Saint Helena, the first edition of an account of the Glorious Revolution. Preserved uncut in the original boards, this copy bears the ink stamp of the library at Longwood House, Saint Helena, to which Napoleon was exiled in December 1815. Of the 3,583 books that made up Napoleon’s library at Longwood, just 250 titles are located. Jacques Jourquin, La dernière passion de Napoléon, 1009.
Octavo (228 x 140mm). 8pp. publisher’s adverts (occasional spotting). Original blue-grey boards, drab paper spine, printed spine label, uncut (some loss to spine, partial splits to joints and textblock).
