To own a Tiffany Blue® Nautilus is to own the most exclusive and desired contemporary timepiece of all, on the wrist it confers a prestige that is beyond price.

In true Patek Philippe style, the final version of the Nautilus reference 5711, which had been the definitive 21st century Nautilus model since 2006, is a spectacular watch that nobody could have guessed or expected to see. The “Tiffany Blue®” reference 5711/1A-018, of which the present watch is only the fourth example ever to be sold at auction, is arguably now the most famous wristwatch in history, entering the collective consciousness like no other modern wristwatch.

Made in 2021 to celebrate the 170th anniversary of the partnership between legendary jeweller Tiffany & Co. and Patek Philippe, it caused a sensation when it was announced, surpassing all expectations, a unequivocal triumph of design and execution. The combination of Patek Philippe’s ultimate stainless steel sports watch, the Nautilus, fitted with a dial in Tiffany & Co.’s unmistakable blue livery also double signed for both Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co. is quite magical. In recognition of the landmark anniversary, the sapphire-crystal case back bears the inscription “170th Anniversary - 1851-2021 - Tiffany & Co. - Patek Philippe.”

On 11th December 2021, the first watch of the edition was sold at auction in New York for a published price of $6.5 million dollars, of which 100% of the proceeds benefitted environmental organization ‘The Nature Conservancy’. The desirability of the Nautilus 5711 ‘Tiffany & Co.’ is quite simply off the scale, every potential owner was hand-picked by Tiffany & Co. for one of the remaining 169 pieces of the edition. The Nautilus 5711 Tiffany Blue® has an almost mythical status that is unique among contemporary wristwatches, few people in the world have been lucky enough to see an example. Now in this auction, the dream of ownership can be fulfilled for one more fortunate person.

Tiffany Blue®
The name has entered general use for the unmistakable light robin-egg blue colour that has been associated with Tiffany & Co. since it was used on the cover of Tiffany's ’Blue Book’, first published in 1845 and subsequently used for the company’s packaging and livery.

Since 1998, Tiffany Blue® has been registered as a colour trademark by Tiffany & Co. and produced as a custom colour by Pantone. The PMS number is 1837, the year that Tiffany was established.
