This season’s selection demonstrates the incredible breadth and dynamism of Chinese art, offering a wide range of material including ceramics, jade carvings, bronzes, cloisonné enamel, lacquer ware, painting and furniture. Works of art dating to the Neolithic period through to the 20th century are included, with highlights including a section of Buddhist and Daoist works, a Daoguang turquoise-ground famille rose bottle vase, a Qianlong cloisonné enamel vase with imperial inscription and a finely carved white jade ‘chilong’ seal also of Qianlong period (1736-1795).
