Featuring a selection of works spanning the 20th century, the collection of William Peppler mixes geographical and stylistic influences, while placing great importance on young artists. The collection reveals much about the character of the man behind it: free in his choices but true to the artists and gallerists who accompanied him in his quest for artistic discoveries. Based in Sweden, he was interested as much in paintings as in drawings, as much in sculpture as in photography and prints. A man of eclectic taste, Willem Peppler seemed to expect art to create questions in the mind of the viewer.
