拍賣簡介
This summer, as part of our 20th/21st Century auction series, Christie’s is delighted to present the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale on 29 June 2023.
Led by a historic work by Barbara Kruger, which has been in the same private collection since the 1980s, as well as Yayoi Kusama Pumpkin painting and Andy Warhol Flowers, the auction presents an exciting array of works by the most important artists of the 20th and 21st century.
Following the successful single owner auctions in New York, we are thrilled to present the Collection of Thomas and Doris Ammann, with highlights by Andy Warhol, Ann Craven, Ross Bleckner and Alessandro Twombly, and works from A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection with works by Cindy Sherman, Günther Uecker and Martin Kippenberger amongst others.
Reflecting on themes of identity and tied to the Selfhood exhibition taking place at Christie’s at the end of June, we are delighted to present wonderful portraits by Salman Toor, Peter Doig, Portia Zvavahera, Amoako Boafo, Jenna Gribbon and Louis Fratino.
Looking beyond paintings, we will also be offering a monumental sculpture in stainless steel by Tony Cragg and an exciting group of textile works by artists such as William Kentridge and Grayson Perry.
