With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present 18K pink gold and platinum watch with pink gold bracelet in 1941 and its subsequent sale on 30 October 1942. The Extract further lists the 30 diamonds of approx. 0.70 carats.

The present watch has never been offered at auction before and is believed to be the first example of a reference 1282 to appear in public to date.

The massive 18K pink gold woven "tube" bracelet was made by Ponti, Gennari & Cie., jewellers in Geneva, renowned for their high quality watch bracelets and chains which were supplied to the most important watch manufacturers, notably Patek Philippe. Interestingly, the company's building at Rue des Vieux Grenadiers 7 in Geneva is today the home of the prestigious Museum Patek Philippe.
