'Boyce's objects are not Readymades, they're not involved in some Retro-Avantgarde debate about what might or might not be sculpture. They live in a world where the continuum of commodification extends seamlessly from the most abstract idea of intellectual property - a claim of ownership over a certain colour or shape, used in a certain way - to the ground under your feet; where the power relations of capitalism are an integral part of the landscape and its meaning, not because they are forced on us but because they are the very language we speak.'
